Both Thomson’s (22-8 ) and Chandler (14-3) are both coming off back-to-back wins. There is not any word on which sort of harm Thomson had lasted. The 25-year old has been struck by a motor vehicle in Delray Beach, Florida on Sunday morning and had to have the bottom half of the right leg amputated. He’s currently listed in critical condition at Delray Medical Center according to Blackzillians teammate Rashad Evans.
Bellator released a statement indicating Delray Beach authorities are searching for info from anybody who may have witnessed the crash. “Bellator has been advised of a dreadful accident that happened last night between featherweight fighter Jordan Parsons, who had been struck by a vehicle in a shout episode,” the statement read. “We’re still in the process of uncovering details and together with his family’s approval, expect to get an update on his medical condition shortly. Our thoughts and prayers are with Jordan and his family as he recovers. The hit-and-run happened on Lindell Blvd. and South Federal Highway at Delray Beach, Florida. Anyone who has information regarding this incident is asked to call the Delray Beach Police Department in -LRB-561-RRB-??243-7800.” Parsons (12-2) was scheduled to combat Adam Piccolotti in Bellator 154 at San Jose on May 14. It is likely Piccolotti won’t have a replacement opponent and the bout will probably be scrapped.
